Escobar Syndrome is a rare genetic disorder characterized by minor facial anomalies, short stature, vertebral defects, multiple joints in a fixed position (contractures), and webbing (pterygia) of the neck, inside bend of the elbows, back of the knees, armpits and fingers.

Vilas Vekaria
RN, Oral Surgery Assistant
Vilas is a dedicated and compassionate registered nurse with comprehensive experience in medical-surgical, orthopedic, telemetry, and rehabilitation in psychiatric care settings. She has a proven ability to deliver patient-centered care with strong clinical judgement, collaboration, and empathy. She also likes to provide education and thorough aftercare for her patients. She has been recognized for clinical excellence and safety. She enjoys cooking, helping people in her community, and spending time with her husband and children.

Kelly Vallowe
RDH, Oral Surgery Assistant
Kelly has been part of the team since 2009. She is a Dental Hygienist and enjoys meeting and helping our patients. She plays an important role in patient care. Kelly administers local anesthesia, provides patient education and assists Dr. Escobar in all surgical procedures in the office and in the hospital operating room. She also assists Dr. Escobar in educating our patients on dental implants, treatment plans, and computer assisted surgery. Kelly loves being part of making a change in patient’s lives. She lives in Mahomet with her two daughters.

Sabine Garza
Oral Surgery Assistant
Sabine strives to do the best to make patients comfortable while preparing them for surgery, during the procedure, and while recovering. She is a Certified Dental Assistant who assists Dr. Escobar in surgery both in the office and in the hospital. She has training in monitoring nitrous oxide sedation. Outside work, she enjoys time with her husband and children.

Desiree Theobald
Office Manager
Desiree strives to grow familiar with our patients and their needs. She helps create a safe and welcoming environment for both patients and staff, while ensuring a great patient experience here. She helps coordinate the marketing for Dr. Escobar as well as managing the office. When not at work, she enjoys getting creative, going outdoors, and spending time with friends and family.

Miranda Ecker
Financial
Coordinator
Miranda is the point of contact for all things financial. Miranda helps patients in navigating the process of insurance coverage and financial responsibilities, to ensure the most affordable options to finance their surgical treatment.
Outside of work, she is a part of CU Sings Peoples Chorus. She also loves to color and spend time with family, friends, and her dog Poppy.

Frida Romero
Scheduling
Coordinator
Frida schedules appointments and welcomes patients into the office. She is in charge of gathering patient information, guiding them through the appointment process, and understanding their needs before they are seen. Frida is someone who loves learning new things and taking on challenges. She is reliable, curious, and enjoys spending quality time with friends and family.
